Here are the answers to the questions our customers ask most often. In short: book with no prepayment, cancel for free, and third-party (RCA) insurance is included in the price. Booking and documents
What documents do I need to rent a car?
To confirm your booking you only need your driving licence and passport. That’s it.
What is the minimum age and driving experience?
The standard conditions are a minimum age of 21 and at least 1 year of driving experience. Pick your car from All cars.
Do I have to pay a prepayment when booking?
No. We don’t ask for a prepayment to book. You reserve the car and pay when you pick it up.
How do I book a car?
Choose a car in All cars and fill in the booking form. A JustRent representative will contact you quickly to confirm, by phone or email.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, cancellation is free. If you chose to pay an amount in advance and then cancel, we refund it in full.
Will I get the exact car model I booked?
We guarantee the car class you booked. If the chosen model is unavailable for unforeseen reasons, we offer a similar vehicle from the same class. See the available makes in Car brands.
Do you also offer transfers, for example from the airport?
Yes. Besides car rental we offer transfer services, including from Chisinau airport. Details and booking on the Transfer page.
Deposit and payment
How much is the security deposit?
- Moldovan documents: €100–300, depending on the car class.
- Foreign citizens: €300–1000, depending on the car class.
For the exact amount, tell us the car you want, your age and how long you have held your licence.
When do I get my deposit back?
- Cash: returned at the end of the rental, right after the car is checked.
- Bank card: refunded within 3–4 working days, depending on your bank.
Can I rent a car without a deposit?
Renting without a deposit can be discussed individually. Contact us before booking and we’ll find the best option together.
Which payment methods do you accept?
- cash, when you pick up the car (you get a fiscal receipt);
- bank card, when you pick up the car;
- online card payment (Visa, Maestro, Mastercard);
- bank transfer for companies (you get a tax invoice).

Fuel, mileage and insurance
What is the fuel policy?
Simple and fair: return the car with the same amount of fuel you picked it up with.
How many kilometres are included?
Mileage is agreed individually with each customer, depending on the model and rental length, and we always look for the most convenient solution for you. The exact limit, the option of unlimited mileage and the rate for any extra kilometres are set when you pick up the car.
What insurance is included in the price?
The standard price includes third-party liability insurance (RCA). Within the limits set by law and the policy, it covers damage caused to third parties in a road accident for which the insured driver is responsible.
Can I add CASCO insurance?
Yes, you can optionally add CASCO insurance. It gives you financial protection if the car is damaged in a road accident covered by the policy. CASCO works with an excess, i.e. the maximum amount you pay for a covered claim under the contract. Exclusions: tyres, rims, windscreen, mirrors and the underside of the car.
Travelling outside Moldova
Can I take the car outside the Republic of Moldova?
Yes, international trips are allowed with the company’s prior consent. We can authorise travel to Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Greece and other European countries, depending on the car and route. The trip requires the appropriate documents, including the authorisation to leave the country and international Green Card insurance, where applicable.
How much does a trip abroad cost?
The extra cost is calculated individually, based on the destination country, the travel period and the car model. Tell us your destination and dates and we’ll give you an exact quote.
During the rental
Is there a speed limit?
Yes, the maximum allowed speed is 130 km/h.
Do I have to return the car clean?
Yes, the car should be returned clean. If it is returned dirty, a cleaning fee applies: 250 MDL for passenger cars, 300 MDL for SUVs, 350 MDL for Vito and 400 MDL for trucks. Details in the Rental rules.
Can someone else drive the car?
Yes, with our written consent. Just tell us in advance who else will drive.
What if I’m late returning the car?
Let us know in advance and we’ll find a solution together. Unannounced delays are charged according to the rental contract.
What should I do in case of an accident?
Call the emergency number 112 and inform your JustRent manager straight away. If the other driver is at fault and the car is repaired under their RCA insurance, your deposit is not withheld.
